Ever-enterprising bad actors have found ways to exploit digital vulnerabilities and come up with sophisticated tactics to carry out cargo theft. Cybercriminals are using phishing emails and social engineering maneuvers to gain access to sensitive information whether it be impersonating legitimate stakeholders, using spoofing techniques to mislead tracking systems or creating fake logistics companies - to name just a few.
