Turning Suspicion Into Strategy: A Workshop on Cultivating an Investigative Mindset and Refining Interview Techniques

What steps are we taking if a deposit goes missing? What if we find empty packaging and signs of pilferage in the stockroom? Technology and the availability of data have changed the way that investigators initiate and investigate cases of potential theft or fraud.  Although these tools have made our investigations more efficient, have we become too reliant on them?  In this workshop, learn from Certified Forensic Interviewers on the principles of an investigative mindset and turning these “data points” into effective interview strategies.  Attendees will learn how deductive, inductive and abductive reasoning can assist in their investigative plans to turn suspicions into strategies.  This workshop will inform investigators on how to incorporate these reasoning methods into effective and non-confrontational investigative interviews.
