A successful investigative interview begins well before the subject enters the room and prior to any questions ever being asked. Often, the most important part of an investigation is the preparation for the interview.  Taking into consideration the level of available evidence, the characteristics of the subject and the potential implications of their admission all play a factor in the selection of the interview strategy.  Are there explanations for the evidence?

E-commerce was one of the only winners in the Covid-19 pandemic, surging more than 30% in 2020, and growth continued through 2021. But keeping up with the rules covering disputes is difficult. In this session, we examine the impact recent changes to Visa and Mastercard's chargeback rules have had on retailers' success in fighting disputes.

Most people think cybercrooks are sophisticated. Not true. Most cybercrooks know little about how online fraud crimes actually work or how the tools they use work. Instead, they rely on criminal tutorials, live instruction classes taught by master fraudsters, or on advice from other fraudsters on the Dark Web Telegram, or even YouTube. If the criminals aren't sophisticated and the crimes aren't sophisticated, what is? The cybercrime platform. The presentation will have live tours of the Dark Web and discuss refund fraud and account takeover attacks.
