Bad actors are coordinating on public forums to share and sell abuse methods and promotional codes, which has significantly increased these types of abuse and impacted retailers' profits. To attack the problem, fraud departments must work with other areas of the business to implement additional policies and processes to curb abuse. Often, the most important part of an investigation is the preparation for the interview. Taking into consideration the level of available evidence, the characteristics of the subject and the potential implications of their admission all play a factor in the selection of the interview strategy. All of these questions, and more, help to determine the best approach for the investigator to take. Between a strained global supply chain and international instability, the cyber defense of operational technology (OT) and Industrial Internet-of-Things (IIoT) has never been more important. Despite the continued convergence of enterprise IT networks and OT networks, keeping OT secure requires a different playbook and a different set of assumptions about risk. This practitioner-led session will discuss how to think about information security risks to OT in distribution centers, manufacturing plants, and stores. Chad Walker, Portfolio Information Security Officer at Albertsons, will also introduce the Purdue Model for ICS security and the places where this reference architecture either meshes with or clashes with the realities of retail.

But an increase in sales almost always comes with an increase in chargebacks making a solid strategy to respond to disputes vital for companies that sell through digital channels. But keeping up with the rules covering disputes is difficult.
