NRF has been tracking the rapid spread of the coronavirus pandemic with great concern. Like all of you, our top priority is the health and safety of our staff, communities and the people we serve.

Following guidance from the CDC, NRF has decided to cancel NRF PROTECT 2020, scheduled to be held in Pittsburgh this June.

Instead, NRF PROTECT ALL ACCESS - retail's loss prevention and cyber risk online event will take place September 22-25.

In these unprecedented times, we’re all facing difficult realities. We know many of you rely on this event to learn from your peers and grow your businesses, and we remain committed to providing value for our members.

As an organization, NRF’s focus is helping retailers minimize the spread of the disease and protect their businesses. We’ve been coordinating closely with government and public health officials to share COVID-19 information and resources, as well as advocating for policies that provide relief for retailers in difficult economic conditions.

As tough as times are right now, we are so proud to represent an industry on the frontlines of helping communities. It is heartening to know our members play such an important role in supporting the nation and the world through this crisis.

Q. As an NRF PROTECT 2020 registrant, will I receive a refund?

A. Yes, NRF will refund all paid registrants by May 11, 2020. You will receive an email notification when your registration cancellation has been processed.

Q. As an NRF PROTECT 2020 exhibitor or sponsor, what will happen with our existing contract?

A. Exhibitors and sponsors will be contacted by April 20, 2020 to discuss how they wish to handle monies already paid to NRF. There will be a variety of options, including transferring money to other NRF events (NRF PROTECT 2021 or Retail’s Big Show based on availability), sponsoring online content being created or receiving a refund.

Q. What will happen to my hotel, flight or car rental reservation?

A. If you booked a hotel through MCI, the official housing provider for NRF PROTECT, your reservation will be automatically cancelled and if applicable, you will be refunded within 90 days. For all other travel and lodging arrangements, registrants are responsible for canceling their reservations.

A. NRF PROTECT ALL ACCESS, our new free digital event for retail loss prevention and cyber risk professionals will launch September 22-25, 2020. Be the first to know when registration opens by signing up for updates

Q. When is NRF PROTECT 2021?

A. NRF PROTECT 2021 will take place at the Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center in Grapevine, Texas. Conference dates are June 14-16.
