Richard Giaquinto

Richard Giaquinto is a long-standing member of the Loss Prevention department at Gap Inc. having joined in 1991 when a company-issued laptop was new and exciting and a pager on your hip was core to the role. Originally from New Jersey, Richard now resides in the San Francisco Bay area where Gap Inc. is headquartered. He’s held a variety of departmental leadership roles during his tenure including his first role as LP Manager, a regional role for the Gap and Banana Republic divisions, was the first Director of Investigations for the company and held the role of Vice President for Gap North America from 2004 to 2011.

Richard has a passion for learning which serves him well in his currently capacity as Senior Director. His role spans multiple business disciplines ranging from Global Business Continuity Planning to a Digital team grounded in e-Commerce, Omni-channel store facing initiatives and Cyber Security – Physical in addition to leading a non-malicious loss effort tasked with mitigating shortage while improving overall inventory accuracy.

Being the first college graduate on his father’s side of the family, Rich is a proud recipient of a B.S. degree in Criminal Justice from Glassboro State College based in Glassboro, NJ currently known as Rowan University. He has two young daughters one a future fashion designer the other tracking to be a Veterinarian or Actress, still deciding. When he is not at his desk, you’ll likely find Rich wandering the majesty that is Yosemite National Park.
