Laura Jones, CISM, CRISC, PMI-RMP, PMP, CMQ/OE, is professionally known as a risk strategist, but on a grander scale is recognized as a “trailblazer” as all of the roles she has taken on were ‘first-ever’ roles for each organization that she supported. Her position as a Management Consultant with Booz Allen Hamilton over a decade positioned her to lead many newly formed roles to support client engagements from the Department of Homeland Security, The Pentagon, Department of Treasury, Internal Revenue Service, U.S. Army Information Technology Agency, to the Army Warrior Transition Command. She also established the Kimberly-Clark Corporation Global IT Risk Management Program and under leadership, Kimberly-Clark ’s Global IT Risk Management Program received external, industry-level recognition and was honored as a CSO50 Award recipient. In May 2018, Laura assumed a new role as the Floor & Decor Outlets of America’s first-ever Senior Manager of Governance, Risk and Compliance.

Laura holds a Master of Science in Quality Systems Management, a Bachelor of Science in Management Studies and a Graduate Certificate in Cyber Security Policy. Laura has also received Executive Education in Leadership Decision-Making from Harvard Kennedy School and is currently enrolled in Executive Education and certification as a Chief Risk Officer through Carnegie Mellon University.

Laura also received a Special Recognition Award at the 23rd Annual Women of Color Conference cohosted by Women of Color Magazine, Consumers Energy and General Motors and sponsored by Lockheed Martin. Laura was recently appointed to the University of South Florida’s Advisory Committee on Cybersecurity for Executive Education.

Laura is a Management Associate of the Information Technology Senior Management Forum (ITSMF). A decorated U.S. Army veteran, Laura retired honorably after 21 years of active duty service, she resides with her family in the Atlanta, Georgia area.
