Bill Singleton


Bill Singleton, named one of the Business Journal of Milwaukee’s Top 40 Under 40 (2012) and White House Champions of Change for Building Bridges Between Youth and Law Enforcement (2015) worked with youth as a police officer in the Office of Community Outreach & Education for the Milwaukee Police Department. He is a retired member of the MPD team that created and developed the international award winning Students Talking It Over with Police (STOP) Program, an evidence-based program aimed at cultivating sustainable positive relationships by decreasing initial volatile interactions.
Bill has been a member of two of Medical College of Wisconsin’s Violence Prevention Initiative teams. Bill was recently named as a National Advisor for the Police-Youth Dialogue project from the Center for Court Innovation. He holds a Master’s Degree in Dispute Resolution from Marquette University. Bill is currently a partner for Vistelar.

Vistelar is a global consulting and training institute focused on addressing the entire spectrum of human conflict at the point of impact — from interpersonal discord, verbal abuse and bullying – to crisis communications, assault and physical violence. Bill is also the host of his own weekly podcast, The Conflict Report.

Bill was formerly on the Board of Directors for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Milwaukee and the advisory board for Mosaic (a program designed to bridge racial gaps in the City of Milwaukee) and he has been a youth baseball & basketball coach for 20 years.
