LPRC was founded in 2001 by leading retailers and Dr. Read Hayes in an effort to support the evidence-based needs of loss prevention decision-makers. We've grown to over 160 members including 70 major retail chains, 75 Solution Partners, 6 Manufacturers, 9 Industry Orgs and 2 StartUps.

Our goal is to conduct research to develop crime and loss control solutions that improve the performance of its members and the industry.  To date, the LPRC has conducted over 300 real world LP research projects.

Our overall mission is TOTAL ENTERPRISE SUCCESS.

The success of loss prevention/asset protection departments at your retail organization is indistinguishable from the success of your entire enterprise.

The LPRC advocates total enterprise success, harnessing LP/AP technology to not only minimize loss but also provide your consumer with the frictionless shopping experience they expect. RFID, data analytics, surveillance technology, and store atmosphere can all act to minimize crime while improving sales, and better target your marketing opportunities.
