The Loss Prevention Research Council is a research organization that was started in 2000 by our director Dr. Read Hayes. Our organization’s mission is to assist loss prevention and asset protection practitioners by utilizing criminological theories and principles to help support evidence-based and data-driven best practices. We assist our 200+ member organizations in combatting theft, fraud, and violence through research conducted by our team of qualified researchers.
